Advanced Analyst Program

The Advanced Analyst Program is a program for students who have completed our 10-week Community Analyst program and would like to continue consulting for nonprofits. For Fall Quarter, we are looking for 5 stellar cC alums who are interested in working with some higher profile Chicago nonprofits while honing their consulting skills and building their Chicago professional network.

This program has the same requirements as the Community Analyst Program, with the exception that there will be no weekly seminars or academic credit. The 5 student team will be supported by a seasoned MBA mentor and three Chicago professionals. Last quarter, our professionals hailed from The Cambridge Group, Mission Measurement, and the private equity firm GTCR. These individuals, similarly to a team’s mentor, will provide guidance and support throughout the quarter. During the Advanced Analyst experience, teams should expect to come down to the Loop four times, once for a kickoff event and then three additional times to share their presentations with their mentors, advisors and a bevvy of guest judges from various Chicago institutions.

Students must be highly self-motivated and willing to commit 10 hours per week to client work. Several considerations will be taken into account in selecting our Advanced Analyst teams, including but not limited to: application, past teammate feedback, past performance and commitment level during your cC engagement. With only 5 slots available this fall, we expect these slots to be highly competitive, so please explain what unique perspective and skills you will bring to bear.

Alumni Mentor

As an alumnus of the program you know that being a Community Analyst can be a challenging experience.

campusCATALYST likes to keep a “rolodex” of sorts of alumni that are willing to help our Community Analyst teams with projects.

If our students need assistance or perspective with a specific issue they will reach out to the campus coordinator and the campus coordinator will connect the Alumni Mentor with the Community Analyst team.

Join Program Team

We are looking for passionate students who want to get involved with cC through leadership roles on our Program Team. Our on campus program teams are composed of of 2 Campus Coordinators, 2 Nonprofit Liaisons and a Knowledge Manager.

A leadership role on the Program Team is an exciting opportunity to take an active leadership role in a young organization, helping to coordinate and manage all aspects of the program. The Program Team is a year-long commitment.

Guest Judge

As part of the campusCATALYST curriculum, Community Analyst engagement teams are required to give in-class Powerpoint presentations. We like to bring in guest judges to give the students feedback on these presentations.

Our students really benefit from having an outside perspective and value the feedback. Guest judging opportunities are available twice a quarter and usually require a 3 hour commitment and take place at the University of Chicago or Northwestern University campus (Hyde Park and Evanston respectively) on a weekday evening.
